Fighting for Women with Fashion

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Domestic violence was the focal point of a fashion show fundraiser in Uptown.  Local lawyers and doctors modeled Nordstrom’s new fall looks at Foundation for the Carolinas.

The silent auction and runway show raises money for the Safe Alliance Women’s Shelter. Last year, CMPD responded to more than 35,000 domestic violence calls.

Sodoma Law founder Nicole Sodoma says, “Each part of my practice deals with some area of, that often includes domestic violence so it is a part of our community that has, that we have to maintain awareness of.”

Since the event started two years ago, it has raised more than $50,000.
