LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Charges have been filed against a Lincoln County father after two children died from being trapped under tons of dirt on his property.Β
Jordan Arwood is facing two counts of involuntary manslaughter.Β The accident happened in April when the children were playing at a construction site on Arwood’s property.Β
A wall collapsed and the children were trapped under dirt.Β It took emergency crews nearly 12 hours to find their bodies.Β Arwood’s 6-year-old daughter and 7-year-old nephew were later identified as the victims.Β
Arwood was given a $15,000 bond.Β
