Man Killed After Being Electrocuted at Construction Site

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Medic has confirmed one person is dead following an electrocution at a construction site in the University area. According to authorities, the accident happened on Sandburg Avenue which is right off of University City Boulevard around 2 p.m. We are told, the worker was operating an aerial lift when it came into contact with overhead power lines and electrocuted him. 

The North Carolina Department of Labor says they have sent an inspector to the site.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
