They’re the next evolution of mankind, and that means special powers. The kind of powers any of us would love to have. From being able to pop in and out of places at the blink of an eye, to knowing what someone else is thinking. We’ve all dreamed of having them at some time or another.
The new show that premiered on the CW tonight pits an extraordinary group of kids against the forces of evil. The thing that makes the kids special is that they possess powers that bind them. Powers that someone wants to control, and powers we’d all like to steal.
Powers like telekinesis: the ability to move things with your mind. The show kind of added the ability to slow down bullets and stuff, but it’s mind over matter, however you look at it.
And how cool would it be to have the power of teleportation? Just think about anywhere in the world you want to be, and–bam!–you’re there! Mankind has been dreaming about it since we started telling stories about magic.
Or imagine having the power of mental telepathy: being able to communicate with someone just by thinking about it. Or maybe just to read someone else’s thoughts without them knowing.
