Just like the serial killer in a bad horror movie, it keeps coming back year, after year, after year. Β The classic phone book is a holdover from a time when telephones were mounted on your wall, and people let their fingers do the walking. Β But hasn’t that time passed?
You’ve probably already noticed them on the stoops of neighbor’s houses, and maybe you’ve got yours already. Β Phone books have been showing up this week out of the blue like an STD, and the Yellow Pages are being delivered to every home, even if you don’t have a landline. Β And that’s about 50 percent of you. Β You’ve ditched them for cell phones like everybody else… that’s the march of technology. Β And that march means most of you are looking up numbers and businesses on your computers or smartphones. Β Who even has the strength to lift one of the behemoths anymore? Β
But for all their antiquity, they’re not totally useless, right? Β Our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, hit the streets with a couple of phone books to get some ideas on what you can actually do with them…
