Tripoli, Libya – Two major operations for US Special Forces and one major catch. Navy Seals managed to nab one of the men believed to be involved in the 1998 US Embassy bombings. After more than a decade on the run, Abu Al Libi was captured as he left his home for morning prayers.
“This is a great example of our dedicated forces on the security side, intelligence side, and our military and their capability to track these people down,” said Republican House Speaker John Boehner.
The group targeted in the second raid is believed to have been behind the deadly mall attack in Kenya last month. US forces came under fire in that mission and withdrew before they could confirm whether they killed their target.
