Police: Man Kicked Out Of Bar Tries To Return With Shotgun

BESSEMER CITY, N.C. — Police say a man tried to get revenge on a bouncer at a Bessemer City bar after he was kicked out for sexually assaulting a woman.

Investigators say 59-year-old Earl Austin reportedly put his hand between the legs of a woman at Whiskey Mill early Sunday morning.  He was kicked out of the bar but was seen walking down the road by police carrying a shotgun.

Police say he told them he was on his way to the bar to kill the bouncer.  Cops found 10 shotgun shells in Austin’s pocket.  He has been charged with resisting arrest, going armed to the terror of the public and sexual battery.
