WICHITA, K.S. – A Kansas police officer was caught on camera texting and driving and could have to pay a fine. The guy who snapped the picture said he meant it as a joke. When he posted it on Twitter, the police department tweeted back. They asked for the officer’s car number and location. “My buddy was like look, he’s texting and driving and there he was, both hands on the phone, and steering with his knee like that and I don’t know, it just kind of floored me, you know,” Kansas resident, Chuck Bass said. Police officers in Wichita can text only if it’s job related. The department is trying to figure out if it was business or pleasure.
