RALEIGH, N.C. — Cockroaches are creepy but they could soon save your life. Scientists at NC State University are turning the bugs into remotes.
They are placing electrodes inside the roaches antennas. The idea is that crews could one day send them into rubble to look for survivors after natural disasters.
Scientists say they still need to work out some of the kinks before the roaches can be used in a real rescue.
