Toddler Back Home Safe With Family

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A toddler found roaming the streets is back home safe with his parents. According to Rock Hill Police Department, two city employees spotted the child wandering the street in a diaper near the intersection of S. Jones and Rockwood Street in Rock Hill on Monday morning. York County Department of Public Safety Communications alerted residents of the area by phone in attempts to locate the family or someone who knew the child. Officers also went door to door to see if residents could identify the child or knew of his address.

Shortly before 12 p.m. police say they were able to locate the parents. They say the toddler had been at a baby sitters house and got out while the baby sitter was doing laundry. The parents picked the child up at the Department of Social Services. No charges are being filed at this time.Β
