Two Arrested After Meth Lab Discovered in China Grove Home

CHINA GROVE, N.C. — Rowan County Sheriff’s Department has charged two people with manufacturing methamphetamine. On Wednesday, investigators and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations obtained a search warrant for a home on Beth Grove. The search was based on tips that some occupants of the home were cooking meth. During the search, investigators found 2 active meth labs in a bathroom.

Nicholas Baker and his girlfriend Sharon Bruce were both arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling, possession of precursor chemicals, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Baker and Bruce were each placed under a $15,000 secured bond.
