CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a possible person of interest.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, on Sunday around 6 p.m. a call came in about a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Dove Tree Lane. That’s near the Hidden Valley neighborhood. Detectives say the caller stated that the SUV had been parked at the location for several days and had a strong odor coming from the inside.
Police arrived on the scene and towed the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, crime scene officials discovered a female body dismembered inside of the trunk.On Monday, authorities released pictures of a possible person of interest wanted for questioning.
No arrests have been made at this time and the name of the victim has not been released.
