STATESVILLE, N.C. — Bus drivers from a local elementary school got a surprise when they arrived to start their bus routes. Detectives say the bus drivers from Clover Leaf Elementary school arrived to work and when they got in their buses, they wouldn’t start. Deputies responded to the school and found that 24 batteries were stolen from the buses overnight.
Authorities are looking at school surveillance video to try and identify the thieves. No arrests have been made at this time.
