CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are on the scene of a homicide investigation in south Charlotte. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, they received a call in regards to an assault around 9:46 p.m. on Sharon Lakes Road. When they arrived, it was determined that the victim and the suspects were involved in an altercation in the parking lot before the victim was shot.Β
Police say a family member transported the victim to Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville. He died as a result of his injuries.Β
The victim’s name has not been released at this time. Detectives are on the scene investigating. As we get more details, we will have the latest on WCCB News Rising.
