Two school systems in Catawba County are raising the high school drop out age from 16 to 18, in line with new state laws. Β But at age 18, a kid only has a few more months of school left at most, so they’ll probably figure they may as well finish. Β Which is exactly what the school system wants. Β So why not just go all the way and make graduation mandatory?
