Monroe Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

MONROE, N.C. — Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect in Union County. Authorities say, on Tuesday around 1:02 a.m., a man entered the Kangaroo on W. Franklin Street with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.

It is unclear how much the man got away with. 

Police described the suspect as being a light skinned black male, approximately 6 feet and weighing around 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black tee shirt, black hat, blue jeans and a red bandana around his face.
