More Aid Reaching Philippines as the Death Toll Rises

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The amount of aid reaching typhoon ravaged areas of the Philippines is rising but also so does the death toll.Β Β  The Red Cross estimates that at least 2,300 people have now died.Β  Eight people died during a stampede at a rice warehouse.Β  A volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse talked with WCCB about the devastation he has seen.

Supplies are piling up at airports in the Philippines because roads remain impassable.
