CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The amount of aid reaching typhoon ravaged areas of the Philippines is rising but also so does the death toll.   The Red Cross estimates that at least 2,300 people have now died.  Eight people died during a stampede at a rice warehouse.  A volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse talked with WCCB about the devastation he has seen.

Supplies are piling up at airports in the Philippines because roads remain impassable.
