CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Families lit candles and raised purple glow-sticks Sunday night in Freedom Park. The vigil was to raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer and honor those who’ve died from the disease. Organizers said Pancreatic Cancer is hard to spot — meaning many diagnoses are too late. Supporters want to raise more money for research. Sunday’s event was one of 80 vigils going on across the country.
