CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested the man wanted for murdering the Mayor of Columbia, South Carolina’s brother-in-law.
Investigators say they arrested Arthur Givens early Tuesday morning at a home on Echodale Drive. Givens is accused of shooting and killing Donald Gist in northwest Charlotte Friday afternoon.
Givens has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats.
