CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A deadly crash in west Charlotte is under investigation. According to police, the accident happened on Friday around 3:10 p.m. on West Tyvola Road just after the intersection of Yorkmont Road. Police say 27-year-old Kendei Ramirez was attempting to make an illegal U-turn when his vehicle went across the double-yellow line and collided with a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Nathaniel Brewer.
Medic arrived on the scene and treated Brewer for minor injuries. Ramirez died at the scene. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Both men were wearing seatbelts.
