GASTON COUNTY, N.C. – A suspected serial arsonist accused of torching a neighbor’s home, was jailed Thursday night in Gaston County. Shannon Gross is being held under a $5 million bond. Police said he set several fires inside the home on Cloninger Avenue on Wednesday. He’s been arrested nearly a dozen times for setting fires since 1993. Gross just got out of prison in May.
