Statesville Woman Arrested For Identity Theft

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police arrested a Statesville woman for cashing fraudulent checks and making several fraudulent credit card transactions. 

Investigators say the victim thought he lost his wallet but quickly realized his bank account was missing more than $15,000. 

Police say 26-year-old Ashley Moore has been charged in the case.  She is facing the following charges: larceny, financial card theft, 13 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, financial card fraud and identity theft. 

She was placed in jail and given a $10,000 bond.
