WASHINGTON,DC–Motivated by recent school shootings, a group of kids in Washington have come up with a way to keep intruders out of the classroom.
The students used a PVC pipe and a steel pin to create a safety lock for school doors.
The device only costs about five dollars, but the kids say the life saving invention is priceless.
They won more than $6,000 to finalize the lock.
