CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A suspicious note caused a scare on a US Airways plane at Charlotte-Douglas Monday.  The FBI says it was not a threat to public safety.

One hundred twenty-four passengers and the crew on Flight 2045 from Buffalo were evacuated Monday afternoon.  The plane taxied to a remote area of the airport as a precaution.

“It was really; I was scared until we got off that plane.  I just wanted off for a while,” says passenger and North Charlotte resident Colleen Powell.

“And we got off the plane,” adds another passenger, “and all you could see was firemen, policeman, who were in the full foil suits, and stuff.  So it was a little nerve wracking.”

There’s no word what the note said, but the FBI says it did not violate any federal rules.
