RIO RANCHO, New Mexico – A New Mexico teacher is on paid administrative leave after he told told a black student that Santa is white. The teen’s parents say the incident happened when he went to school wearing a Santa mask. The teacher was first told to apologize. Once the story went viral, the school district removed the student from the teacher’s class.
