CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Students at Providence Day School are participating in the “Be The Change” program learning how to be good members of the community. They were sharing with Wilson what “Be the Change” is all about and how they are working with Share Charlotte.
The kids will experience hands-on community experiences such as participating in community simulations, attending sessions in courtrooms and visiting animal shelters and other community facilities.
Today the students were working with Crisis Assistance Ministries participating in a poverty simulation. The group session is a complete day of activities that will take the students through the lives of those who are less fortunate and experiencing life living below the poverty level. The students talked with Wilson on what they hope they will take away from their day and the experiences with “Be the Change.”
Area schools can get involved and can also “Be the Change.” Contact Share Charlotte for more information.
