GASTON COUNTY,NC–The father of a one year Gaston County girl who died in a Christmas day wreck is charged with driving left of center.
The car Alex Hooper was driving crossed the median and smashed into an oncoming truck on US-74 in Wadesboro.
13 month old Alexis Hooper died in the accident.
Police say Hooper received a text that night but did not send one while he was driving.
Drugs, alcohol, speed and fatigue were ruled out as causes of the crash.
