Charlotte-Mecklenburg made the decision to operate on a delay, a little before 3pm Monday afternoon. Thing is, they’re pushing school back two hours, and according to Chief Meteorologist Reg Taylor, that actually makes things worse. Kids who normally head out at, say, 6am will be out at 8am instead, and it will actually be colder then, because this Arctic Vortex doesn’t follow normal weather patterns. So did CMS make the right call to delay school for cold, or should they have just cancel school all together?
