GASTONIA,NC–A man charged with a double murder in Gastonia has accepted a plea deal and will spend at least 20 years in prison.
A judge sentenced Michael Walters after he pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree murder.
Prosecutors say Walters shot Michael Rice Jr. and Jerry Richardson in May during a drug deal gone bad.
They were sitting inside a car in rice’s driveway when the shooting began.
