Police Arrest Trio In South Charlotte Robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three men have been arrested for a robbery in south Charlotte.  Investigators say Jontavious Polk, Deontae Carrothers and Jawayne Lynch robbed a man at knifepoint on South Tryon Street Wednesday.

The victim told officers that the suspects stole his wallet and other personal items.  While officers were searching the area for the suspects they were approached by a witness who stated that he saw the suspects run past him and into a home on Coulee Place.

Detectives say Polk was wearing an electronic monitoring device and information from the device helped police determine that Polk was at the robbery scene and inside the home on Coulee Place.

All three suspects were taken into custody and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
