CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for a breaking and entering suspect in the University area. On Tuesday, January 7, officers were called to Sports Fitness University in regards to a larceny from motor vehicle on N. Tryon Street.
The caller sated that the suspect smashed his car window and took his wallet from inside.
Police say they were able to identify Jimmy Brookins as the suspect based on information gathered during the investigation. Brookins currently has three outstanding warrants for his arrest.
