DENVER, N.C. — Police found 51 bags of heroin in a vehicle during a traffic stop. Cops say the driver was pulled over for a traffic violation.
When officers approached the passenger side of the vehicle they noticed multiple bags containing a white powdery substance. Police later determined the bags contained heroin.
The passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Moore, was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin, possession with the intent to sell a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. He was also charged with possessing a schedule II controlled substance.
Moore was released on a $40,000 bond. Police say the heroin weighed approximately five grams.
