ROCK HILL,SC– Winthrop University students are at odds tonight over 3,000 pink and blue flags on campus.

The school’s college Republicans placed the flags to coincide with the 41st anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

Organizers say they don’t want to offend anyone, but want to raise awareness for the nearly 56 million legal abortions performed in the US.

People opposing argue the flags are in poor taste.

Some students also question the group’s decision to play a film that compares abortion to the Holocaust.
