CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will be on a two-hour delay Friday, Jan. 24th. Buses will run routes and schools will open two hours later than the normal time.
CMS staff made the decision due to severe weather conditions in the Charlotte area. Reports indicate that temperatures will be extremely low during the morning hours.
All before-and-after-school enrichment programs (ASEP) will begin at the normal time. All after-school and athletic activities will operate on the normal schedule. Schools will dismiss at the normal time.
Parents are encouraged to dress students warmly, in layers and with hats and gloves.
