Two Men Arrested For Northeast Charlotte ATM Robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say two men robbed someone at an ATM in northeast Charlotte.  Anthony Byrd and Laderious Lockhart are accused of robbing the victim on University City Boulevard. 

The suspects displayed a weapon and demanded money from the victim.  They fled the area on foot.  A short time later, police were able to identify both suspects through surveillance. 

It was determined that Byrd was wearing an electronic monitoring device and was in the exact area of the robbery.  Police obtained warrants against the two suspects and they were arrested a short time later.  

Both men have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
