Weapons and Tactical Gear Stolen Out Of Rowan County Patrol Vehicle

GASTONIA, N.C. — Police are investigating after someone stole weapons and tactical gear from a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle. 

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and convection of the person responsible for the theft. 

Detectives say a deputy was attending a training conference in Gastonia.  The vehicle was parked at a hotel when the break in happened. 

The items stolen includes a Glock model 23, .40 semi-automatic handgun, with night sights, a Streamlight TRL-1 Tac light, a Safariland Glock drop leg ALS holster, a Smith and Wesson M&P .223 rifle (fully automatic), a Remington .308, model 700 LTR Police Sniper rifle, with scope, bipod and hard case and two police tactical vests.
