MATTHEWS, N.C. — Crews have been working around the clock to treat area roads.Β MEDIC responded to 83 accidents in a six hour time frame.Β
The Town of Matthews has received several reports of black ice on roads.Β Independence Boulevard at Highway 51 was iced over early Wednesday.Β
Officials with the Town of Matthews are asking people to stay home.
