CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested two men for robbing two 7-Eleven’s in northeast Charlotte.Β Detectives say Tajae Robinson and Devekico Wright entered the 7-Eleven on Mallard Creek Road near Island Park Circle early Wednesday morning and forced employees and occupants of the store to lie down on the floor.Β
The suspects then took one of the victim’s vehicle keys and fled in the victim’s vehicle.Β No one was injured in the robbery. A short time later, the duo is accused of robbing another 7-Eleven on Old Concord Road.Β
Police found the suspects on Exbury Court in the stolen vehicle and with items taken during the robberies.Β
Robinson has been charged with seven counts of kidnapping, six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny of motor vehicle, flee arrest and resisting an officer.Β
Wright has been charged with seven counts of kidnapping, six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of motor vehicle.
