CHARLOTTE, NC – More than 60 Charlotte-area volunteers packed hundreds of lunch bags Saturday at Sauceman’s in South End.
The group then hit the streets of Uptown Charlotte to serve the lunches to area homeless.
Terrance Bates, Kristine Zell and Jacinda Garabito from WCCB News Rising helped along with Audrina Bigos from WCCB News @ TEN.
#HashtagLunchbagCLT is a grassroots effort.
“Just the reactions you see when you’re passing out the lunches to people and how thankful they are.
They can’t believe that people are that compassionate especially in our generation,” said Brittany McNeill, a North Charlotte resident.
Each lunch bag is packed with an inspiring note.
You can help by donating money to buy food or volunteering on the first Saturday of every month!
