MINT HILL,NC–A man is in jail after police say a gun fell out of his pocket into plain view inside a fast food restaurant in Mint Hill.
CMPD arrested Demario White at the McDonald’s on Lawyers road.
White is being charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and for possession of marijuana.
On Wednesday night, a customer called 911 after the gun fell out of his pocket and onto the counter.
One local resident says, permit or no permit, McDonald’s is no place for a gun.
When police showed up, they say they smelled pot on White and found other drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say they do not think White had any intention of robbing the place.
