CHARLOTTE, N.C.–A WCCB camera captured plain-clothes investigators emerge from the home
of Ina Feldman’s next-door neighbor.
The investigators were tight-lipped and the next-door neighbor didn’t elaborate much on a conversation we overheard about Feldman’s mattresses. “I have no comment. I’m sorry,” he said.
Police sources tell WCCB that the 82-year-old victim’s cause of death was blunt force head trauma.
Neighhbors say that her son discovered her body inside her South Charlotte town house Tuesday
His home, a few doors down Torrey Pines Court, was locked, and no one came to the door when we knocked Thursday afternoon. Mecklenburg County Property Records show Ina Feldman has lived in the home since September 2012. An Arizona Jewish Post article says her husband, Oded, died in April 2011. The published reports say the couple also lived in South Carolina, Arizona, and Texas.
As police comb this neighborhood for clues, Feldman’s next-door neighbor admits he’s concerned there hasn’t been much progress in the investigation more than two days after the deadly discovery.
“Well, sure it makes me feel uneasy. Everybody out here feels uneasy… I’m concerned about it and there seems to be no solution. There’s nothing I can do about that.”
Police want anyone with information about the murder investigation to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. You could be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
