MATTHEWS, N.C. — People are preparing in case they have to go without power for an extended time.
Northern Tool and Equipment in Matthews is ordering an extra supply of generators to meet the demand. They expect the shipment to be in Tuesday afternoon.
Keep in mind, generators should never be placed inside your house, a garage or any other enclosed area because of carbon monoxide risks.
