CHARLOTTE, NC– A Freshman shot at Salisbury High School is out of the hospital. Now, 17-year-old Dajuan Russell is facing charges in the shooting.
Russell is accused of shooting 16-year-old Shaleek Williams in the abdomen. Investigators say Williams was also punched in the face. Investigators say it all happened during a confrontation Monday afternoon outside the school’s gym.
It involved students and a group not affiliated with the school. Salisbury High School went on lockdown as a precaution. William’s friends and classmates are turning to social media to show support. #PrayForShaleek is trending on Twitter.
