PINEVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle who struck a pedestrian and then left the scene of the crime.
Investigators say the accident happened on Rock Hill-Pineville Road late Monday night.Β The suspect is accused of striking 70-year-old Anthony Campisi as he walked down the road.Β
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.Β Campisi is currently in stable but critical condition.Β
Cops are searching for a white 2006-2011 BMW 3 Series E90 with front end damage and passenger side mirror damage.Β
