Man on the Edge: Surviving on Bread and Milk?

 The stores are trying to keep up with demand, but if you don’t have bread and milk in the house by now, you might be out of luck this time around.  But Tuesday was nothing compared to what Wednesday is bringing.  It’s going to get much worse.  And as anybody from the South knows, you gotta have milk and bread to weather the storm.

Some non-Southerners are baffled by our milk and bread obsessions down here, but what they often don’t get is that milk and bread are the first things kids tend to plow through.  Sandwiches are quick and easy meals, and milk is great to drink, make snow cream out of, or use for creamy tomato soup.  They’re two basic staples with a lot of potential.  

As long as you can get out on the roads safetly, it’s not like you can’t get other groceries.  But in severe conditions, some of us are going to have to make do with what we have.  So our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, wants to know how long you can take milk and bread meals before you finally just flip and go cannibal!
