GASTONIA, N.C. — Crews have responded to a building collapse in Gastonia. The Beverly Knits warehouse is located on Garfield Drive.
At the time of the collapse, the business was closed and no one was inside. Officials say the roof of the building collapsed due to the heavy snow.
Heavy snow has the potential to cause large flat roofs to collapse. If you have this type of roof, be aware of this and watch and listen for cracking, popping or other warning signs.
