MATTHEWS, N.C. — Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith and OrthoCarolina are teaming up to open a sports training facility in Matthews.Β
D1 Sports will be a sports training and therapy facility that will have a combination of indoor and outdoor turf fields, a collegiate-style weight room and an OrthoCarolina physical therapy clinic geared towards athletes and athletic-type injuries.Β
