DALLAS, N.C. — Gastonia City Police say a man has died after a tree limb fell on him. The accident happened around 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday on Apple Creek Drive right off of Dallas Bessemer City Highway. Police have identified the man killed as 63-year-old Joe Ratchford, of Dallas. Family members confirmed that Ratchford was the owner of the Apple Creek Golf Club.Β
