LOS ANGELES,CA–A restaurant in Los Angeles is leaving some dinners with a nasty aftertaste, once they learn about an added fee on their bill.

The owners of Republique call it Surcharge Healthy L.A.

The extra 3% will go to pay for health insurance for all of the restaurants employees.

Under the Affordable Car Act, companies with more full-time employees will have to provide health insurance.

The owners of the Republic want all 80 of their employees to be full time, and say the added fee will help cover the costs.
